Jimmy Fallon has become broadcast television's pop culture liaison, a one-man translation service who can boil simple internet memes and themes down into even more digestible — and often hilarious — nuggets of comedy for the traditional spectrum viewer.
Generally, he's celebrating web culture and Things We Love, but you get the feeling that this sketch with Justin Timberlake — now part of his regular #TimberlakeTuesday — is also a little bit of a tweak at those that might pollute the limitless English language with the technical terms necessitated by 140-character limits.
It was #awesome.
Oh, and speaking of #Timberlake, the man is #everywhere. This week alone, he's been on the Tonight Show, Kimmel (with a Hollywood Boulevard concert), and Late Night. Plus, he's got a movie with Ben Affleck and Anthony Mackie called Runner Runner on the way.
