Could this be the end for Cumming Street and and Fanny Hands Lane too?

The crackdown comes after complaints about Hoare Road and Typple Lane, with people saying that such places are unsuitable for families.

Counciller Philip Evans spoke to the South Wales Evening Post , "Some names can cause offence or can be misinterpreted so it's better to try to avoid them." He went on to say, "We had a road named Old Abattoir Lane and residents were a bit upset about it and asked for it to be changed."

Maybe the residents of Hoare Road are right to care as experts at Need A Property recently worked out that on average a rude street name reduces a house price by £84,000.

For example residents of Minge Lane in Worcestershire can expect to sell their house for 31% less than those people living in a more boring street round the corner. Residents of Cock lane in Farringdon don't have to worry as much as their naughty street name only loses them 6.3%.

Does this tell us about the difference in property prices in Worcestershire and Farringdon, or maybe the difference in attitudes between "cocks" and "minges"?
