A rep for director Paul Feig confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the Bridesmaids actress will star, and that Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, and Kristen Wiig are in talks to join her.
Melissa McCarthy, who previously worked with director Paul Feig on Bridemaids and The Heat, has signed on to star in the new all-female Ghostbusters, Chris Garcia, Feig's representative, told BuzzFeed News. Sony is also in talks with SNL alum Kristen Wiig and current cast members Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones to star as well, Garcia confirmed after The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.
