A movie poster for Ecosse Films' Diana was recently placed by the Flame of Liberty statue at the Pont de l'Alma tunnel, the site of the car crash that killed Diana, The Princess of Wales. Making this yet another chapter in the biopics struggle with the British public and press, who have called the film "dull" and "royal with cheese." A spokesperson for the film's French distributor, La Pacte, who are in charge of placing the posters, told Deadline London that the location was a "coincidence". They say that the site was part of "global networks that include several hundred, even thousands of posters." The image has since been taken down.
