Dillon confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the letter was real, but wouldn't discuss what flight it was received on, citing security reasons.
Dillon wasn't the pilot who received it. He said that it was given to a colleague of his, but he wanted to share it.
"I felt that the positive message was worth spreading," Dillon said.
