Angelina Jolie is taking legal action against the Daily Mail over its publishing of a 15-year-old video shot by her alleged drug dealer, showing her looking unwell and emaciated.

The Times reports this morning that the star is suing for breach of privacy.

The video was originally published by the National Enquirer but also features a Mail Online logo. The clip features Jolie speaking on the phone in a rambling manner.

The footage was shot by Franklin Meyer, a convicted drug dealer, who claims he was selling Jolie heroin and cocaine at the time of the clip.

The Mail's article says: "MailOnline has reached out to Jolie's reps for comment."

On Thursday the Mail apologised to George Clooney for an inaccurate report about his family and his forthcoming wedding.
