NYPD Rescues Puppy Buried Up To Its Neck In Snow By Owner And Left To Die

The baby pit bull, Hennessy, was saved before it was too late. The doggie’s owner has been arrested.

On January 30, 2015, at 0255 hrs., police responded to a 911 call of a dog being struck with closed fist and being beaten with a shovel at 855 East 167 Street within the confines of the 41 Precinct. Upon arrival, responding officers found that a dog had been buried in the snow with only the dog's head being visible. The dog was removed out of the snow by the officers, who observed that the dog was very mistreated and had visible signs of abuse. The female dog, named Hennessy and approximately 6 months old, was taken to the ASPCA in Manhattan for treatment. At 0355 hrs. police officers arrested an individual at the scene who was identified by witnesses as the person who beat the dog.

Charges:

Aggravated Cruelty to Animals (1)

Torture/ Injure/ Not Feed Animal.
