Park ranger Louise Kean was going for a walk on her property when she spotted the stomach-churning sight, The NT News reports. She says the 1.5m snake took six hours to finish "the last mouthful of wingtip".

Ms Kean told The NT News, “It was incredible to see the snake’s contortions to feed itself the bat. It was like wringing out a towel, that’s how the python used its body to squeeze the bat into a snake-sized snack".
