This Band's Response To McDonald's Offer To Pay Them In Hamburgers Is Hilarious

I’m lovin’ it!


At this year's South By South West -- the annual music, tech, and film conference that takes place in Austin, Texas -- the breakout b(r)and may very well be McDonald's.

The billion dollar burger company made news earlier this week when its Chief Digital Officer Atif Rafiq broke news on Medium (yes you read that correctly) that it would be trekking down to the conference to "showcase" its "digital chops," and offer free "Fri-Fi" via a food truck.


McDonald's is also trying buy a little cool by booking an outdoor showcase from March 15 - 20th in a parking lot at 4th St. and Red River in Austin -- prime SXSW real estate. The catch: "There isn't a budget for an artist fee (unfortunately)."
