U.S. Marshal Fatally Shot In Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Deputy Marshal Josie Wells was executing a warrant for a fugitive at a local motel when gunfire broke out.

"The team engaged gunfire and Wells was shot. He was immediately transported to an area hospital, where he died," said Drew J. Wade, chief of the Office of Public Affairs.
