Clint Chadbourne, from Maine, couldn’t get out of his car seat. And it’s now a viral hit.
Ever got trapped by a seatbelt and couldn't get out? That happened to this guy – and now thanks to the internet, millions of people have now shared his struggle.
The video of Clint Chadbourne, 71, from Portland, Maine, has been viewed more than 30 million times since it was uploaded to Facebook on 6 April.
The Chadbournes were driving back from Massachusetts at Easter and stopped for a break. Clint's daughter Kelly captured the moment when he couldn't get out on her phone and the clip was uploaded to Facebook by his wife, Bonnie.
At on point he says he's getting hydrophobic, which probably isn't what he meant.
How did he get in this pickle? Bonnie told the Portland Press Herald that during the trip she noticed the seatbelt moving up towards Clint's neck.
So she moved the belt over his head so his body was in the loop. And when they stopped it became clear that getting him in there was easier than getting him out.
"What else can you do, if you can't laugh?" she said. "If you can't find humor in life, you'd go out of your mind. We do laugh a lot."
Bonnie wrote on Facebook: "After we calmed down and starting breathing Kelly took control and got him out."
